THE SUD VAL DE LOIRE NATURALLY

A real part of life… the natural heritage and river Cher can be explored in different ways…

ON FOOT OR BY BIKE

On foot or by bike, you can make your way along the towpath, previously used by people, mules or horses to pull the boats along. Between Montrichard and Chenonceau, the first section of the Cher à vélo cycle path was created, which links to the popular greenway: la Loire à Vélo.

On horseback or in a carriage!

Another way to get around and enjoy the generous nature is on horseback. Along the Cher or in the middle of the forest, horse riding is an activity accessible to all and in all seasons.

Follow in the footsteps of the most famous musketeer and discover the Loir-et-Cher on horseback, along the Artagnan European route.

And if you don’t have the soul of a rider, opt for a carriage ride, a moment to share, to the rhythm of the horse and nature. A picnic break, a chateau visit or a the opportunity to try some local produce could make your trip even better.
A relaxing, friendly experience to enjoy with the family!

The Cher Valley also has 2 protected areas which deserve to be looked after and respected by people: the prairies du Fouzon in Couffy and the Pontlevoy protected area : exceptional sites to be discovered on foot, either on your own or with a guided nature walk.

a perfectly sized adventure in the heart of an abundant, verdant nature…
