The finest 'Tuffeau' wine cellars

Art and wine cellars, together!!!

Certain wine cellars have made their troglodyte homes into real art galleries

The Monmousseau wine cellar in Montrichard has been transformed into a light-filled universe.

Some wineries have turned their cave sites into true art galleries

So, the Monmousseau cellars in Montrichard are transformed into a real universe of lights.

The labyrinth is adorned with a myriad of breathtaking works. Light tapestries, created by two renowned artists using techniques borrowed from stained glass, offer the public a unique vision of the great Loire chateaux, retracing the history and origin of the cellars. An original and little known experience accompanied by a symphony composed by Selva De Mar, which takes us on a journey between water and history. Nada (Nathalie DAHON) and ReNo MENAT, the two artists behind the Monmousseau cellars, inspired by meetings by and universes, display their art in three styles: creation, installation and performance.

The Mérieau wine cellar in Montrichard

The Merieau wine cellars are also located on the Cher Valley tourist route, where taste and sight can appreciate a beautiful art exhibition every season.
This year, works by the artist Pascal Maestri are displayed.

In a jellified space organic mechanics appear and disappear. This universe of aquatic movement and radiographic transparency reveals a certain fragility of time and space. Where movement seems to have stopped, where the surface has no limit, where the distances evaporate in a puff of smoke.
